August 30th – September 1st | All Day
The Streets of Baltimore!
From August 30th to September 1st (Labor Day Weekend) SRT will present the third running of the Baltimore Grand Prix in downtown Baltimore. The streets will come alive with the sights and sounds of high-speed automotive racing. With a modified racing circuit from previous years, and an even better fan experience, this years event will surely establis Baltimore as the Mid-Atlantic’s premier motor-sport destination. Guests will be able to see there favorite IndyCar drivers whip around the streets of Baltimore all three days, with the major races culminating on Sunday. This year, the Baltimore Grand Prix is more than a race; however, it will be the “must attend festival of the summer!” For “Accelerated Flavors”, the Taste of Maryland will feature culinary creations to die for. For “Accelerated Sensations” there will be tons of live musicians and 98 Rock will be broadcasting live. Finally, for some “Accelerated Fun” for the whole family, to the Esskay Family Fun Zone that will have an obstacle course from Port Discovery Children’s Museum, KIDRACERS go-karts, and live performances from Radio Disney! The Grand Prix is going to be a great weekend all around, so be sure to purchase your ticket for one loud and speed fueled weekend.
Please be aware that traffic will be high and there will be roads closed this weekend.
For more information and to purchase tickets, check out the Grand Prix’s website.
Grand Prix of Baltimore facts and fallacies -proven by photos & videos taken by a General Admission Ticket holder in 2012. There is plenty to do again at this year’s event, lots of choices for food, and nearby streets and walkways are rarely crowded. You can also get real close-up on the racing action! Cruise on through my photos & videos of last year’s event and see how ‘sweet it is’ bound to be again!
