Your Baltimore Orioles are the 2014 AL East Champions!
In front of an impressive home crowd at Camden Yards on Tuesday night, the O’s topped the Blue Jays 8-2 to claim their first AL East title since 1997.
With a 91-60 record, Baltimore also boasts the 2nd-best record in of the MLB.
The O’s showed up from the get-go, getting the job done with help from top to bottom of the lineup. This is a lineup that Dan Duquette did a masterful jpb of putting together, namely making the move to trust Nelson Cruz to come in to Baltimore and deliver, which he has.
Manager Buck Showalter has had to deal with creating a winning lineup without star players Manny Machado, Matt Wieters, and Chris Davis. He has succeeded in creating the AL East champions.
Though the champagne is flowing now, the O’s know their work is just beginning. The Orioles have 11 regular season games left to try to pad their record some more, then it’s on to the playoffs.
Go O’s! We Won’t Stop!
