The Loyola Greyhounds men’s basketball team are taking their talents to Brooklyn…for one game.
On December 28th, the Hounds will take on former MAAC rivals, Fairfield, in Brooklyn, NY at the Barclays Center.
The game is part of the Brooklyn Hoops Winter Festival, hosted at the home of the Brooklyn Nets, and presented by Honda.
The Barclays Center is the home of the NBA team, the Brooklyn Nets, as well as the venue of many big concerts and events. And now, it is a destination for the Hounds.
The Hounds and Stags will face off in the third of three games that night, continuing their rivalry that saw the Hounds come out victorious in a 59-52 game last season.
When asked what this experience means for Loyola and the community, Head Coach G.G. Smith said, “Playing in a top-flight arena like Barclays Center is a great thing for Loyola basketball, our players and our fans. It is not everyday that you get to play on the floor of an NBA arena, so it’s special.”
This special game will take place on December 28th. For information on the game and tickets, visit the Greyhounds’ ticket office on campus or online.
