This weekend, the Dallas Cowboys pulled off the seemingly impossible task of going into Seattle and beating the Seahawks at CenturyLink Field.
What may be even more impressive is that way that they beat Seattle. The Cowboys won using a gameplan that hasn’t appeared in Dallas since they last won a Super Bowl, a gameplan that revolves around balance and physicality.
Dallas’ offensive line is proving that they are one of the best in the league, their defense is being physical at the point of attack and forcing turnovers, running back Demarco Murray is playing like an MVP back, starting with 6-straight 100-plus yard games on the ground, and quarterback Tony Romo is looking sharp and not turning the ball over.
With the impressive 30-23 win over Seattle, Dallas improves to 5-1, making a case for themselves as one of the top teams in the league.
There is a certain mental toughness that seems to be present in this team right now that hasn’t existed in some time. They were able to overcome a major deficit in St. Louis to come away with a good road win, throttled a dangerous New Orleans team, and took it to the Seahawks on their home turf.
It seems that this might finally be the year that Dallas puts all of the pieces together. All of the signs certainly point to it.
So, what do you think? Do you believe in the Cowboys? Well, believe in them or not, they are certainly making their presence known in the NFL this year.
How about dem Brownies?
