Johnny Manziel Comes In For Browns

Johnny-Manziel-TDpass-RedskinsThe Cleveland Browns may have just lit the fuse on the Johnny Manziel era, and there may be no snuffing it out.

In the 4th quarter of the Browns game against the Buffalo Bills, with Cleveland down 20-3, Head Coach Mike Pettine made the move to bring in Manziel in place of a struggling Brian Hoyer.

Manziel came in and immediately led the Browns 80 yards down the field, capping off the drive with a 10-yard touchdown run. Of course, Manziel showed his Money Manziel celebration after scoring his first NFL regular season touchdown.

In the end, the effort wasn’t enough as the Browns fell to the Bills in Buffalo, 26-10. However, the in-game decision to bring in Manziel does create a quarterback controversy.

Hoyer has struggled mightily in the last 2 games, going 61-120 passing with no touchdowns and 5 interceptions. With Hoyer playing as he has, the Browns offense has struggled to produce.

That being said, under Hoyer, the Browns have found themselves in a position where they control their playoff destiny, posting a 7-5 record.

The move to bring in Manziel, however, was a move that is hard to turn back from, seeing as Johnny Football is the Browns future.

Pettine has said that a final decision on next week’s starter against the 8-4 Indianapolis Colts will be made on Wednesday.

So what do you think? Should the Browns stick with the man who’s gotten them to a 7-5 record in Brian Hoyer, or make the move to the future with Johnny Football?
