Tourism Tuesday: USS Constellation

Thanksgiving is a time for reflection, so why not reflect aboard a ship from the Civil War? Rife with historical importance, stepping aboard the USS Constellation, the last all-sail, wooden warship built by the US Navy, is a great way to discover and explore. And of course, where else is better for reflection than the water?

And there is plenty to discover on the USS Constellation. From artifacts and personal effects from the actual crew of the ship to a realistic “Plan of the Day” complete with times for the next living Parrott rifle firing and Powder Monkey tour, you are sure to be kept busy before you even step aboard. Once on board you are free to explore the four decks that complete the ship, as well as talking to uniformed crewmembers, partaking in gun drills, and seeing what is cooking in the galley.
