Wine Tasting & Ukulele Night Featuring Don Kim & Zia Hassan 4/4/13
Thanks to the Maryland Wineries Association, Whole Foods, Student Activities, the Senior Class and us, we had a great time Thursday night. Sampling a variety of Maryland wines in a tasting guided by Maryland Wineries Association Executive Director Kevin Atticks, our group of senior class members got an education on tasting, evaluating and selecting wines. We also had a large selection of cheeses donated by Whole Foods in Mt. Washington (and more bought by WLOY) so people could match flavors between wine, cheese, crackers, spreads, nuts, and more. Great local musicians Don Kim and Zia Hassan treated us to some fantastic music as they moved from the stage to rambling minstrels, serenading tables throughout the room. It was such a great night we were instructed to do it again as soon as possible! Click to see the photo gallery
