This week a new artist makes a debut at the top spot! The Naked & Famous is a group from New Zealand that effectively blend the musical styles of Passion Pit and M83 into an incredibly catchy indie-pop that gets stuck in your head. Warning: this group may become your new favorite band.

Theater Thursday: The Mobtown Theater

It may be getting hectic with Thanksgiving around the corner and other holidays following soon after, but we all need a few hours to get away from the impending school exams or crowding shopping malls, right? The Mobtown Theater provides the perfect opportunity.

An intimate theater noted for it’s tradition of giving many companies their first performance space, you never quite know what you’ll find at The Mobtown Theater. The first weekend of December the Baltimore Improv Group will return to the stage with their “Back2Back 2” improv show.

Tourism Tuesday: Sherwood Gardens

Whether you’re a fan of autumn or just the all-around nice November weather we’ve been having, you’re sure to fall in love with Sherwood Gardens.

First created in the 1920s as a hobby for local conservationist John W. Sherwood, Sherwood Gardens has become known as the most famous tulip garden in North America. About 80,000 tulip bulbs are planted each year along with a wide variety of rare trees and spectacular sights.

Museum Monday: “Andy Warhol: The Last Decade”

The Baltimore Museum of Art is featuring a special exhibit of famed American painter, filmmaker, commercial illustrator, author, and record producer Andy Warhol. It’s hard not to know some medium of his work.

From now through January 9th, you can explore Warhol’s artwork from the last decade of his life, including special collections like his psychologically revealing self-portraits, camouflage paintings and variations on da Vinci’s “The Last Supper.”
