Winning Weekend for Women’s Soccer
The Loyola Women’s Soccer team emerged victorious in the “Battle of Baltimore,” improving to 4-4 on the season.
The Hounds battled against Mount St. Mary’s University and Towson University this weekend, coming out of both games with a victory.
Loyola kicked off the weekend with a 1-0 win over Towson on Saturday at home, then finished off the weekend strong with a 2-0 win over Mount St. Mary’s on Sunday at Towson.
The double shutout-win weekend couldn’t have come at a better time for the Hounds, as they pulled themselves back to a .500 record just before the start of the conference season.

Sports Saturdays: Orioles’ Davis Suspended
The Orioles’ first baseman, Chris Davis, has been suspended 25 games by Major League Baseball after he tested positive for amphetamines.
Davis accepted his suspension immediately, saying, “I apologize to my teammates, coaches, the Orioles organization and especially the fans. I made a mistake by taking Adderall. I had permission to use it in the past, but do not have a therapeutic use exemption this year. I accept my punishment and will begin serving my suspension immediately.”
