Museum Monday: Hashiguchi Goyo’s Beautiful Women

The Walters Art Museum
600 N. Charles St., Baltimore, MD 21201

Hashiguchi Goyo was a Japanese ukiyo-e printmaker who met an untimely death in 1921. During the last two years of his life, he carefully monitored the production of his final prints, eight of which would become some of his most important works. These images of Japanese women, along with a few posthumous prints completed by Goyo’s brother, are on display in the Walters Art Museum every Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday from 10am-5pm until August 12.
