There really is a museum for everything, and luckily for Baltimore there is the National Museum of Dentistry! It is located near the Inner Harbor on the campus of the University of Maryland. There is a deep history in dentistry and this is the place to learn about it! It opened in 1996 and now hosts 40,000 objects including dental instruments, furniture and artwork. One of the coolest bits and pieces the museum has on display is George Washington’s ivory denture! Neat, right? Also check out Queens Victoria’s personal dental tools, and a very cool collection showing the progression of toothbrushes from the 1800’s to 2015.
Admission cost $7 for Adults, $6 for seniors and students with ids. They also host school groups! Call 410-706-0600 to book an appointment/click here to see this very educational and interesting museum!
