It may be getting hectic with Thanksgiving around the corner and other holidays following soon after, but we all need a few hours to get away from the impending school exams or crowding shopping malls, right? The Mobtown Theater provides the perfect opportunity.

An intimate theater noted for it’s tradition of giving many companies their first performance space, you never quite know what you’ll find at The Mobtown Theater. The first weekend of December the Baltimore Improv Group will return to the stage with their “Back2Back 2” improv show.

Museum Monday: “Andy Warhol: The Last Decade”

The Baltimore Museum of Art is featuring a special exhibit of famed American painter, filmmaker, commercial illustrator, author, and record producer Andy Warhol. It’s hard not to know some medium of his work.

Sports Saturdays: Lingerie Football League

Like watching football, but wish it was a sexier sport? Look no further than the Lingerie Football League (LFL), a women’s 7-on-7 tackle American football league created in 2009. The concept of this alternative football league started as entertainment in the halftime show of the Super Bowl in 2004. One of the highest viewed pay-per-view events, it was turned into a professional sporting event. Baltimore premiered its very own team this year – the Baltimore Charm.

Food Fridays: Vaccaro’s Italian Pastry Shop

Looking for some authentic Italian eats? Look no further than Baltimore’s own Little Italy, home to over thirty restaurants! After getting stuffed with multiple helpings of pasta at any neighboring restaurant, head over to Vaccaro’s Italian Pastry Shop for some decadent Italian desserts. They’ve got cannoli, they’ve got tiramisu, they’ve got a variety of cakes and cookies. After visiting Vaccaro’s, there is nothing more you could possibly want.

Cee Lo Green – The Lady Killer

Cee Lo Green, more famously known for his work as one half of Gnarls Barkley, is back with his third studio album, The Lady Killer, which dropped November 9. Ever since the first single from the album, “F*ck You” (or more appropriately titled “Forget You”), was dropped, the music industry was abuzz about Cee Lo, with good reason. The Lady Killer proves to be an album worth giving a listen. Cee Lo transcends the R&B label, with a sound that strikes as being more alternative. This isn’t Gnarls Barkley, and you won’t find anything similar to “Crazy” on the album’s fourteen tracks; however, that does not matter because The Lady Killer offers that great Cee Lo sound.

Theater Thursdays: Centerstage

Baltimore Centerstage, the head of Maryland Theater, is now showing ReEntry, a powerful and heartwarming play involving the return of a Marine soldier to a life he left behind. Directed by KJ Sanchez, this acclaimed new play seeks to get inside the mind of a man who is trying to adjust going from battlefields to backyard barbecues. Sanchez took special attention to stories from real soldiers, and she used the material she gathered as a basis for her play.

Baltimore’s Centerstage prides itself in offering intelligent, bold interpretations of modern and contemporary plays, so ReEntry will definitely have the audience enraptured from the very beginning.
