Quarantine Takeover – Doc Pine & Bobby

This week we lost control of the studio to Doc Pine and his tiny sidekick Bobby. We’re not sure how but sit back and enjoy Bobby giving Doc Pine the respect he deserves. Doc Pine combines creepy old Appalachian music, off kilter honky-tonk, murder ballads, yodeling, heavy rock jingles, and junkyard blues stomps in the hope of one day getting invited to the Sadie Hawkins Dance. He claims his songs “have been filtered through ten feet of sugar maple charcoal, which imparts a distinct smoothness to the music.” He has been cleared of all charges pertaining to a Louisiana bank heist in the summer of ‘09.

The Warwick Daily Feed describes Doc Pine & The Respect He Deserves as having “the sharp wit of Randy Newman with the musical stylings of Hank Williams, Tom Waits, & Danny Gatton.” Their debut album “Welcome To The Victory Lounge” is a known cure-all with proven rejuvenating properties.

The Respect is:

Ahren “I’m In Too Many Bands” Buchheister- Guitar, Pedal Steel, Dobro, Mandolin, Harmony Vox

Miles Gannett- Bass, Harmony Vox

Jason Baker- Drums, Percussion
