Grade: D

The rock band, Linkin Park released its second remix album, Recharged, on October 29, 2013. The album fell short from the band’s usual numetal sound. It was manufactured, and not as organic as the band’s usual sound. The remix album sounds very dubstep, which usually would be a great thing to add to a rock sound. But, it ends up making the songs sound boring. Also, many of the songs on the album are unnecessarily long, with songs as short as 3 minutes and songs as long as 6 minutes. Linkin Park is trying to regain the same momentum it had in the early 2000s, but by releasing albums like this it could potentially discredit the band and it’s music. The band is set to release a sixth studio album sometime in 2014, hopefully Linkin Park can get back on track to its original roots.
