In an effort to bring the days of the old to the present, WLOY presents Old Tyme Radio, a show that brings back classic vintage radio shows from the 1920s to the 1960s.
In this series of Old Tyme Radio, we’ve rebooted “The Jack Benny Show.” Jack Benny, the star of this show, had a prominent career on both radio and television. He started out in the radio with his own radio program that spanned over twenty years. Called the king of radio comedy by many, Benny revolutionized the way in which comedy played out on the radio by introducing situation comedy and by giving some of his best punchlines to his supporting cast.
