Did you know the Baltimore Orioles (no, not the baseball team) played football in the Dixie League, a league that rivaled the National Football League? Or that the average salary for a pro player in 1950 was less than $6,000 per season? Join us for a discussion on Saturday, Nov. 3 at 2 p.m. as we look back on the rich history of football in Maryland.
Attendees will delve into the history of teams such as Navy, Army, Notre Dame, the University of Maryland, the Baltimore Colts and Ravens, and have the opportunity to explore the museum’s various football exhibits. We hope to see you there!
Free with price of admission to the museum.
Which is so weird, because 99% of the discossiun about football comes in the form of people second-guessing and talking about what they would have done differently or what went wrong. How would this hurt the league? People would stop watching or something? Such a bizarre thought process.
