Sports Saturday: Ravens Cheerleaders
Girls, do you think you could do a better job than some of the Ravens Cheerleaders? Guys, do you have any input on the eye-candy? Let you voice be heard at the Sheraton Baltimore City Center Hotel on March 26th, where for the first time ever a live audience will decide the finalists for the Baltimore Ravens 2011 Cheerleader lineup. Hopefuls from all over will compete in both a dance round and a skill round before being graded by a panel of celebrity judges. After they receive their points from the celebs, it will be the audience’s job to decide who should be jumping around the sidelines of M & T Bank Stadium.
We all know that after our time at Loyola comes the real world. And sometimes, the real world isn’t easy. On March 24 the Young Executives for Success (Y.E.S!) will be hosting their Brackets & Beer event down in the harbor at the delicious Tir Na Nog in order to support Dress for Success Philadelphia!. DFSP! is a nonprofit organization that works to promote the economic independence of disadvantaged women by providing career development tips, professional attire, and networking opportunities for those looking to make a difference in their lives. So come on down and enjoy some refreshments, trivia games, and beer tastings for a good cause.
Here at WLOY, another special and exclusive interview is being brought to you by the staff that loves you as much as you love sports. Today, WLOY had the opportunity to speak to Baltimore Ravens Right Guard Marshal Yanda. He is a phenomenal guy and really talked up a storm when it came to the interview.
Happy St. Patty’s Day! In celebration, we have a few newcomers to the list. Say hello to a new band called The Head and the Heart. Also, we couldn’t have left the new Dodos CD off the list, could we?
A great way to check out some of Baltimore’s thriving culture is to stop by the Cabaret at Germano’s Trattoria. Since May of 2008 Germano’s has hosted countless local acts, as well as performers from all over, interested in adding to the flavor of Charm City. Theater, jazz, classical, opera…the Cabaret has it all. The greatest aspect; however, is the informal, yet intimate environment created by the performers. Guests can enjoy amazing Tuscan food before or during the performance, and can grab a drink with the performers after the show.
